Michael Watters is the Economic and Climate Counsellor at the British Embassy Manila. A career diplomat for over 20 years, he has extensive experience across Asia and the Pacific, including postings in South Korea, Taiwan and Vanuatu, with a particular focus on economic growth, climate and energy policy, trade and technology cooperation. Most recently, he led FCDO work on inclusive AI and tech governance.
