Dr. Michael (Mike) Phillips is a Co-Founder and Director of FutureFish with over 30 years of global experience in aquaculture, aquatic-agricultural systems, and sustainable blue economy development. In FutureFish he leads organizational strategy, partner engagements, and projects across Asia and Africa. Mike formerly served as Director of the CGIAR Research Program on Fish Agri-Food Systems (FISH) and Director of Aquaculture & Fisheries Science at WorldFish. He holds a PhD in Aquaculture and Fish Behaviour from the University of Stirling and has authored over 350 publications with a professional background spanning decades of leading multidisciplinary research and setting strategic business leadership across Asia, Africa, and the Pacific
